Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique

Dhow in the Bazaruto ArchipelagoAlong Mozambique's 2 500km coastline on the east coast of Africa, you will find the Bazaruto Archipelago consisting of six islands off Vilankulo, Mozambique and offering the most idyllic and unspoiled tropical island vacation. The Bazaruto Archipelago comprises the islands of Bazaruto Island, Benguerra Island, Magaruque Island, Banque Island, Santa Carolina Island (also known as Paradise Island) and Shell Island.

Unspoilt beaches, world class deep sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling are on offer. Since the Bazaruto Archipelago is a protected National Park (established in 1971), the islands are unspoilt, undeveloped and pristine with little to no roads or shops, only natures beauty!

Tourist attractions consist of sandy beaches, coral reefs, surfing opportunities and fishing. Benguerra and Bazaruto are the two largest islands, with both having luxurious accommodation where time simply slips away. Heading further North, you will find the Quirimbas Archipelago consisting of 32 coral islands.
